5 stars – genuinely exceptional service I had a brilliant experience staying at Gloucester Robinswood Hotel By Sunday, and what really made the stay stand out was the people. Azher, the Operations Manager, went completely out of his way to accommodate me throughout my stay. I was there for work as well as staying at the hotel, and he made sure everything ran smoothly, that I was looked after, and that anything I needed was dealt with quickly. I genuinely appreciated the effort he made to make my work and stay as easy as possible. Naeem, the Front Office Manager, was also fantastic. Professional, welcoming and always helpful, he made sure everything was handled smoothly and that I always felt looked after. A big mention also has to go to Sahil, who looked after me brilliantly when it came to food. He was always attentive, friendly and made sure I was sorted, which made a real difference during a busy working stay. But I especially want to mention Nellie. Every hotel can provide a room, a bed and somewhere to eat, but it’s rare that someone genuinely changes how you feel about a place. Nellie did exactly that for me. She has an amazing personality and a warmth about her that is difficult to put into words. No matter how busy the day had been or how tired I was from work, she always seemed to find a way to make me smile. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome every single day, and those little conversations and moments of kindness became something I genuinely looked forward to. By the end of my stay, it honestly felt less like I was returning to a hotel and more like I was coming back somewhere familiar. Nellie played a huge part in that. People like her are incredibly rare in hospitality because you can teach someone how to provide good customer service, but you can’t teach someone to have that kind of genuine warmth and personality. At this point I might have to consider moving into the hotel permanently just so I can see her more often! Azher, Naeem and Sahil were all fantastic and are a real credit to the hotel, but Nellie made the stay particularly memorable for me. I came here because of work, but the people are the reason I’ll genuinely be happy to come back.

First time stay. Nice room. Spacious. Nice bathroom. Great view of the sheep roaming free.

Room size was good. A bit tired appearance. Room housekeeping service on request only. Mine was still missed. But in fairness, when I pointed out, it was done in the evening. Car parking is extra 5GBP per night. Has a pool and sauna - reasonably good. Restaurant is limited in its offering of good food. Helpful staff in general.
