The lady who served me was absolutely lovely – I think she may be the owner. As someone with Coeliac disease, I was quite nervous as I haven't had fish and chips in a long time, but Hardy's came highly recommended. She told me she also has Coeliac disease, which immediately put me at ease. Eating out isn't always easy for coeliacs, but she made me feel completely comfortable and confident my meal would be safe. I had fish, a cone of chips and mushy peas, and it was all delicious. Everything was packaged separately and clearly labelled gluten free. I would definitely recommend Hardy's, especially if you're coeliac! Price per person: £1–10

Possibly one of the best chippies around, I visited this chippie for the first time a few months back the staff were really attentive and polite and I ordered the masala fish which was delicious and I had a small portion of chips with it but was blown away by the larger than expected portion given which tasted really good as well, also I noticed that the food was really fresh and could taste the high quality ingredients used. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £1–10 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Parking space: Plenty of parking

**Hardy's Fish Bar is the BEST chippy!!** Their gluten free range is fantastic! Not only do they do perfectly cooked gluten free very flavoursome chicken tikka, fish, chips, battered sausages, scallops and many more gluten free items but they also do very tasty doner meat too! Seema is just such kind, friendly, beautiful hearted lady and is the one that usually answers the phone and takes our order and she always gets it 100% perfect -everysingletime! Seema completely understands about cealic disease and her and her staff always make sure there is no cross contamination and we trust her - that is extremely comforting for us as my 4 year old has celiac. We just cannot recommend the food at this chippy nor their lovely staff higher enough!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Hi Suki, Aaww, what a lovely review! Thank you so so much for your kind words! Being Coeliac myself, I completely understand how people feel, so I do all I can to ensure absolute minimum cross-contamination. I have trained the staff and they understand the importance of looking after the customers. I especially feel for young children with Coeliacs as they miss out on so much; which is why I am trying very hard to bring as many gluten free options to the menu as I can. I hope little one continues to enjoy the food; and if there is anything in particular he/she would like to have, then do let me know and I will definitely try my best to make it happen!
