Overall, Crooksy's has a fun, laid-back atmosphere, good beer, and a Tuesday wing special that's tough to beat for the price. If you're looking for a casual wing night, it's an easy recommendation and somewhere I'd happily visit again. I'd never been to Crooksy's before, but Tuesday wing deal was all the excuse my partner and I needed to check it out. On Tuesdays, wings are just $10 per pound, so we decided to sample a few flavours. I ordered a pound each of Blue Steel (blue cheese and hot sauce) and Lemon Pepper, while my partner went with the Cajun dry rub. We also grabbed a pint of Crooksy's Pilsner each. The pilsner was light, crisp, and very easy to drink. It reminded me a lot of a Labatt Blue, making it a solid choice to pair with wings. The wings themselves are unbreaded, which is becoming harder to find these days. I'd rate them as slightly above average—nothing revolutionary, but definitely enjoyable. The Blue Steel was my favourite of the bunch, offering a nice balance of tangy blue cheese and heat, though I wouldn't have minded if it packed a bit more spice. The Lemon Pepper and Cajun flavours both tasted good, but they could have used a heavier hand with the seasoning to really make them pop. We stopped by Crooksy's for a meal and had a really great experience from start to finish. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. The restaurant itself was bright, clean, and well maintained, creating a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a meal. The prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. To start, we ordered the nachos and the Antojitos, and both were excellent. They arrived surprisingly quickly, were cooked perfectly, and made for a great start to the meal. For our mains, we had the fish and chips and the chicken tenders. Both dishes were delicious, and the fries deserve a special mention—they were perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior. Overall, everything was fresh, well prepared, and satisfying. If you're in the area, Crooksy's is definitely worth checking out. Between the welcoming staff, clean and inviting atmosphere, reasonable prices, and consistently great food, it's an easy place to recommend. We'll definitely be back.
