Heima Coffee is one of those Meols spots that just gets under your skin in the best way. It’s small, calm, and has that gentle, cosy rhythm where you can sit with a latte and feel like the day finally makes sense. The food’s simple but properly good — the breakfast sandwiches are the quiet heroes, especially the bacon one that comes out crisp without losing any of the good stuff. Their pancakes are another favourite: soft, warm, and exactly the kind of treat you pretend you didn’t plan to order. And the coffee? The latte is consistently smooth and comforting, the kind you end up ordering again before you’ve even finished the first. What makes Heima shine is the atmosphere — friendly staff, familiar faces, and that soft hum that makes you want to stay longer than you meant to. Prices are fair, the service is warm, and everything feels intentional rather than over‑designed. It’s the kind of café that quietly becomes part of your routine. A full, easy five stars. Worst experience for coffee ever

Worst experience possible! Had a BBQ chicken panini which was more cheese than BBQ and hardly any chicken. Coffees were nothing special and cakes were stale. Worst of all the old dear, the most rudest obnoxious person ever been served by. Stay clear. Over rated, poor service, food and drink.

I was drawn in by the sign in the window offering a Big Breakfast Box including any drink for £6.00. Ordered two but was told “Sorry, we don’t have sausages or beans so it would basically be bacon and egg”. Not the end of the world so I said OK. “Would you like that as a sandwich?” Yes, that would be fine. We were then charged £14.00 for what turned out to be a pretty small coffee and equally small (albeit admittedly tasty) egg and bacon on toast. So we got less than we’d asked for, and less than what is being advertised in the window, but ended up paying more. Sorry, but despite the convenient location, there are other places nearby that we’ve enjoyed and will be visiting in future.
