A Mixed Review - Attended there Aug 2026 - service, food and atmosphere were excellent. The bar snacks, togther with a main were excellent, both in preparation and value. Av. £6 and £13. Drinks were £6.20 for an ale and £7.50 for Guinness. However we ordered two large Talisker 10yr olds. We were surprised they were £48 (£12 per 25ml) We questioned why and were told this is central London. After all else this was a surprise as even on a retail bottle this is £440 profit a bottle. This is not about penny pinching, but had they been of a more reasonable price, our intentions were to try several. We moved on to do so. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

If you are a Freemasons lodge and wanted to find a venue in London, I seriously advise you to not book the Hercules Pillars.

We have now had three very bad experiences with this venue after giving them the benefit of the doubt, however this time they have cancelled our booking just 3 days before the event, living us know alternatives.

Experience 1. Food not correct and room untidy and unclean.
Experience 2. Only one staff with very limited time and support - also a complete mix up with the cost
Experience 3. All food booked and ready to dine but then cancelled our booking at the last minute.

Please, if you have a Freemasons Festive board to arrange and need to rely on the venue for competence and quality, please-please-please, do not book this venue.

Thank you for reading this, please learn from my mistakes of giving this venue a chance.
