Very nice pub, the landlord and landlady made us and our german shepherd very welcome. Roast beef Sunday lunch was amazing. Will definitely be returning. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5

A really nice find on the Ebor Way. It was very busy but fortunately I timed it right and managed to get a table. Staff were great and extremely busy servicing orders. I ordered the Pheasant and black pudding pie with chips that were home made and a very generous portion with veg. I managed to move to another table to charge my phone which had a socket even though it would effect the table number but fortunately the staff were kind enough to allow me to pay the order so I sit somewhere else. I can see why it's so busy because the staff are a credit to the pub Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had the pleasure of visiting the Highwayman Inn in Sheriff Hutton recently, and I must say, it was an excellent experience! We demolished a lovely roast, and it was absolutely delicious. The roast was perfectly cooked, with tender meat and all the trimmings you could ask for. The portion size was generous, and everything on the plate was full of flavour. The inn itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our visit. It’s clear that they take pride in offering good food and great service. If you’re in the area and looking for a hearty meal, I would highly recommend stopping by the Highwayman Inn. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, you won’t be disappointed.
