No Flavor, No Sauces, No Redemption !! We chose this place expecting quality food to match the premium location and prices, but it was one of the most underwhelming meals we’ve had. We ordered several items from the menu to get a good sense of what they offer, and unfortunately, with the exception of the poutine, everything else missed the mark. The calamari was heavily over-battered, with tiny pieces that were chewy and dripping with oil. You could barely taste the seafood beneath the thick coating. The fish and chips were equally disappointing. The fish was bland, over-battered, and lacked any seasoning, while the fries tasted like generic frozen store-bought fries rather than fresh-cut chips you’d expect from a restaurant charging premium prices. The hot dog was as basic as it gets—a dry bun with a plain hot dog and no toppings, seasoning, or effort. It felt unfinished. The fish tacos were perhaps the biggest letdown. They came with watery coleslaw that had no flavor, dry pieces of fish, and an odd mayonnaise-based sauce that didn’t complement the dish at all. The tacos lacked freshness, seasoning, and balance. The only item worth mentioning positively was the poutine, which was decent thanks to store bought gravy. Everything else felt like below cafeteria-quality food being sold at restaurant prices. For a location with such a beautiful setting, the food simply doesn’t live up to the reputation or the prices. We left feeling disappointed and wondering.
