Friendly staff, lovely refurbished pub with three real ales. Nice garden with patio and two rooms inside . Small car park, lovely village setting near old station. Dishes incorporate home grown produce and the menu is changeable. Reopened by the community this pub is well worth a visit and is the heart of the village. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £1–10 Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot, Free of charge street parking

A visit this time to introduce my companion to the place, after telling him how much I appreciated the food, how excellently the Ale was kept and how agreeable the ambience. He concured on all my observations, I'm pleased to say. I'd really like to get a Hop Pole polo shirt with the pubs logo - I have one from most of the other pubs in the area. The renovation at the Hop Pole Inn is fantastic and creates a wonderful atmosphere both inside and out in the garden. We had lunch and the food was delicious, it was the best burger I've ever eaten! Would definitely recommend! Price per person: £10–20
