Visited here for an evening meal as we were visiting Cardiff and wanted to go to a new place rather than a fast food chain that we’d been to before. We were pleasantly surprised by the food, it was presented very well and tasted amazing. I think the only issues for me was that the burgers were between £10-£13 if I remember correctly and they don’t come with any fries, which you have to buy separately for an extra £4. So it’s definitely on the pricier side but that’s expected for good quality food in Cardiff. They also do a menu where they have 5 cocktails available for £5 each which is amazing, I got myself a pina colada which ended up tasting different to other one’s I’ve had but good either way. I went to the hub box as it seemed like it would have delicious food (it does have delicious food). The staff was AS FRIENDLY AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE, the halloumi fries tasted so good they might as well be from heaven, the burgers and fries were delightful to taste, the ice cream was smooth and delicious, the decor was super nice and made me feel very cosy, not coming here is a huge mistake. Ordered off the kids menu (I’m 10 years old) and the choices had a huge variety of options, I can’t even imagine how many options there was on the adults menu. Bacon and cheese can be added to your burger!!!! No doubt, 5 stars. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Outstanding experience at Hub Box Cardiff Bay Hub Box at Cardiff Bay was an absolute hit from start to finish. This is not just about good food — it’s about feeling genuinely comfortable the moment you walk in. The food was excellent: flavourful burgers, perfectly cooked, great-quality ingredients and generous portions. You can tell there’s real care and thought behind what they serve, not just another generic burger place. The atmosphere is spot on — great music at the perfect volume, a relaxed and welcoming vibe, and a space that feels modern, cosy and easy to enjoy. It’s one of those places where you’re happy to sit back and take your time. Also worth highlighting how family-friendly and comfortable it is, which isn’t always easy to find. A special mention for the staff: friendly, attentive, efficient and genuinely pleasant. Service was smooth and warm, and you feel looked after without it being forced. In short: Excellent food Great atmosphere Well-chosen music Fantastic service Comfortable, welcoming and family-friendly If you’re in Cardiff Bay, Hub Box isn’t just a good option — it’s a safe bet and a place you’ll want to return to.
