Best Chinese restaurant for spicy China dishes in Manchester. I used to go to mr hongs but hunans quality is top and the dishes feel much cleaner and less greasy. Female staff are friendly and attentive, food is crazy good and not too spicy. Definitely recommend!! Their lemon tea is really nice and made in house too. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £20–30

Excellent food and service, I was surprised at how good the food was, coming from China the food was authentic and also the pricing was reasonable compared to other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to, the owner and the waiter and waitress were absolutely splendid, delivering the upmost top notch service. I will definitely come again when I come back to Manchester again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30

I had a decent experience at Hunan Restaurant. The food itself tasted quite good and had the bold flavors you’d expect from Hunan cuisine. However, many of the dishes were a bit too oily and noticeably on the salty side, which made the meal feel heavier than it needed to be. Another point to mention is the pricing — it’s definitely on the higher end, and considering the portion sizes and the seasoning, I’m not sure it offers the best value. That said, the overall flavor was enjoyable, and if you like strong, rich dishes, you’ll probably still have a good time here. With a bit less oil and salt, this place could easily be much better.
