I came back to IHOP after many years since I don’t live near the GTA anymore. When we arrived, there were plenty of empty tables, but we still had to wait about 10 minutes. It wasn’t a big deal, though. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, and it honestly felt like we had been forgotten. Our server greeted us quickly and brought my coffee right away, but he forgot to bring cutlery, so I couldn’t really enjoy my coffee immediately. He also only brought a small bowl with about five creamers for an entire pot of coffee. I ordered the Strip Loin Tips with eggs and pancakes. I asked for my eggs over medium, which means the yolk should be slightly runny while the whites are fully cooked. Unfortunately, my eggs weren’t cooked the way I requested. I didn’t mention it because our food had already taken around 20 minutes to arrive, even though the restaurant was only about half full, and I didn’t want to wait even longer. My meal was also served a little cold. The pancakes, however, were absolutely delicious. It had been a long time since I’d had pancakes that I genuinely enjoyed that much. Overall, I left disappointed. The food had some highlights, but the long wait, the service details, and the meal not being prepared as requested made the experience fall short of what I was expecting. Inviting atmosphere and even though it was fairly busy, it didn't seem overly loud. Staff attentive and informative. The food was delicious! I got the pancake combo and an iced latte. Definitely worth going again! Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: CA$20–30

Matthew was an excellent server! He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and quick throughout our visit with seating us. As soon as we sat, he provided us with the halal menu options and made sure we had everything we needed. He was quick and provided great support through our meal. His outstanding service made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Matthew! Meal type: Brunch Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
