Been coming here for years, the food is excellent proper curry house with great choice. The staff are excellent hosts. I have been in the kitchen spotless clean. The best Chicken curry I have ever tasted. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Based on my visit to the Star of India on 30th Dec. 2025, it was possibly the worst curry house experience in many decades for me. One single waiter was on duty and not only was he expected to look after the diners, but he also had the job of answering the phone and sorting out the JustEat delivery guys who appeared to have zero knowledge of the local area, so even had to be helped to find their way out of the restaurant! And the solitary waiter was not good at his job either, which made things worse. I quickly requested a pint of Kingfisher and a couple of poppadums to occupy me while I perused the menu. 20 minutes later, the drink and poppadums still hadn’t arrived. And that’s how the evening continued. Very long waits, orders being ignored/forgotten, and luke-warm food being served. I was eating at this place when it was The Hillingdon Tandoori and it was a lot better then. If the owners of the Star of India read this review, pleases take it seriously, as there is a lot of choice when it comes to Indian restaurants and people are very fickle when it comes to parting with their money. Price per person: £40–50 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
