Scam! - This is really 'New Dewaniam' of Camberwell New Road who have lots of bad reviews. I saw a new Indian restaurant on Googlemaps and thought I'd try it. Went to collect my meal but the restaurant wasn't there. I called and he told me I had to walk to the other end of Wyndham Road to New Dewaniam. I'd ordered from New Dewaniam in the past and I wasn't impressed. Their dishes are for the Western palate. Portions are small for an Indian restaurant. Nothing has changed. I would have ordered from Gandhi's on Kennington Road or Kebab Hut on East Street or Chatkhara on Walworth Road if I'd known the food was coming from New Dewaniam. They have a load of other fake restaurants on Googlemaps including 'Miahs Kitchen', 'Camberwell Tandoori', 'Chukanda', 'Pappadom' and 'Indian Dining'. People who like authentic Indian food are going to go elsewhere. There were only 2 people in the restaurant. A couple, both unhealthily large white people eating in silence. Makes sense.
