Extremely disappointing and deeply concerning experience at Iran Restaurant. My group visited late at night and spent £230.06 on only: * 3 Chicken Kebabs * 1 Fesenjoon Chicken * 1 bottle of water For a restaurant in Mayfair charging these prices, the quality of food was completely unacceptable. The food arrived cold, stale, bland, and lacking freshness. It genuinely felt as though the food had been sitting for a long time before being served. The following day, multiple people in my group, including myself, became unwell with severe stomach pain and gastrointestinal symptoms after dining here. My symptoms included significant abdominal pain and repeated toilet use. I contacted the restaurant directly in an attempt to resolve the matter professionally. Instead of receiving concern, professionalism, or even a basic apology, I was met with hostility and complete disrespect. One manager accused me of lying, claimed I was trying to scam a refund, said he “didn’t have time” for me, and abruptly ended the call. During a later call, another staff member made deeply offensive comments regarding my ethnicity and religion, including remarks such as “Pakistani I assume” and “ask Allah for an apology.” These comments were racist, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable. I have recordings of these calls. Following my complaint, Westminster City Council carried out an unannounced inspection of the restaurant on the 18th June 2026. The inspection identified food hygiene concerns, including the absence of a proper date labelling system for food products. This is a serious issue, as proper date labelling is a basic food safety measure used to track shelf life and ensure food is safe to serve. The restaurant currently also holds a Food Standards Agency hygiene rating of 1 out of 5, which indicates major improvement is necessary in key areas of food safety management. I will be attaching evidence of this. What is most shocking is the restaurant’s public response to my review. Rather than addressing the concerns professionally, they chose to attack my character, accuse me of being a scammer, and dismiss serious concerns regarding food safety and discriminatory behaviour. This experience raised serious concerns not only about food quality and hygiene standards, but also about customer treatment and professionalism. Spending over £230 only to receive poor quality food, become unwell afterwards, and then be subjected to rude, discriminatory, and hostile treatment is completely unacceptable. I strongly advise others to think carefully before dining here. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £100+

You called with the purpose of trying to get a refund for your meal with the unoriginal claim of food poisoning.We had no other reports of food poisoning by any other customers or our staff who also eat our food.Judging by your other reviews of the caliber of food establishments that you frequent, you visit to our restaurant was out of the ordinary.You have reviews on your account where you claim that you got food poisoning from 5 different restaurants.You threatened to destroy our reputation by going on tiktok.. you are shameful.Thank you for providing your full name.You are a scammer and we have reported you to the relevant authorities.You and your group had the intention of claiming a refund before you arrived.As for claims of racism and islamaphobia, it is boring and tiresome.
