A brilliant venue if you're thinking of hiring a place for a private party (friends, family, children etc) - very lovely and helpful staff, excellent organisation, very reasonable prices, great buffet food and so much space indoors and outdoors. Many Manchester venues seem to make private hire complicated but Jackson's boat is the opposite: a really easy-going team that helps you organise your party and nothing is too much trouble for them. Especially brilliant if your party includes children, as there is an outdoor play area and inside pool table. Cannot recommended it highly enough. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The pub is lovely, gorgeous garden and play area. The staff were lovely too, very friendly. Unfortunately the food was awful. We waited over an hour, then only half an order came out. The quality was really poor...what shame. They are really missing a trick with the food. The menu was extremely limited. Then when it arrived it was very unpleasant,doritos with cheese sauce for nachos, a burnt hamburger, brown lettuce and generally poor quality. However the location and the staff are fabulous, will definitely go again, but will eat beforehand. Price per person: £10–20
