Absolutely awful experience with Jaipur of Chigwell — easily one of the worst takeaways I’ve had. The delivery took an unreasonable amount of time despite the restaurant being only about 10 minutes away. When I called for an update, I was blatantly lied to. I was told the order had already left the restaurant, which clearly wasn’t true as it didn’t show up for another hour. There was no apology, no accountability — just misinformation. The food itself was even more disappointing. This place claims to be an authentic Indian restaurant, which is completely misleading. The saag paneer was a joke — barely any saag, hardly any paneer, and it was inexplicably yellow. Saag paneer should never look like that. On top of that, it was oddly sweet, which made it completely inedible. The rest of the dishes were no better — everything arrived cold, tasted stale, and looked like it had been sitting around for hours before being reheated and sent out. Nothing about the meal felt fresh or properly prepared. Overall, terrible service, dishonest communication, and very poor-quality food. I would strongly advise avoiding this place.
