My order number was #6222 on 4th August 2026 approx 22:20 My meal came with two wings. The wings were clearly old and inedible. I ate one and could not eat the other it was that bad. I asked the staff member to replace this one wing as it was clearly old, and very stained from degradation. It was rubbery even and bone dry. The staff member replaced my one wing after some discussion with her team and gave me two wings. The wings provided were of the same bad quality. I said I was not going to eat it. I asked them if they would be willing to eat these wings let alone expecting a paying and loyal customer to. Silence. There response was "we are a busy branch and always cook fresh food" - it clearly was not the case or it was old stock. At 22:20, it did not appear to busy and there was no food on the display counters everything was served from the back not visible section. If this is a franchise branch (or not) a serious quality visit needs to be done - unannounced, weekday evening. To the point I feel like no longer going to KFC. I did not even ask for another replacement or refund. First time I have been so let down by such poor service. This South Woodford branch needs urgent review. For information I have made a formal complaint via the official website portal but awaiting a response. The wings pictured were the replacement wings. You can see the old dark patches which was cold, rubbery and dry. Literally replaced my wing with two from the same batch - totally unacceptable. I am more disappointed the team probably thinking by giving me an extra bad wing would make things ok? Whilst I was not expecting a refund or more replacement food, I had lost trust in the team on the night to apply some decency. For information - I did not eat the wings, finished the rest of my meal and left. No apology or further attempts even after throwing the wings in front of them in the bin. Check the CCTV even. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 Order type: Dine in Price per person: £1–10
