Kabob Place in Waterloo, ON offers authentic Persian-style grilled dishes in a simple and casual setting. The customer service was polite, but the experience felt rushed toward the end of the meal. While the remaining food was still being packed for takeout, a staff member placed cleaning supplies on the table and began preparing to clean before there was a chance to leave. It came across as premature and took away from the overall dining experience. The restaurant itself is comfortable enough, but the atmosphere feels a little dull and could benefit from a more modern and refreshed interior. The Shishlik was enjoyable, with the lamb cooked to a tender texture and a nice char from the grill. Unfortunately, the meat lacked seasoning, which meant the flavor didn’t stand out as much as expected. The quality of the lamb was good, but a stronger marinade or better seasoning would have made a significant difference. The Double Chicken Joojeh Kabob was the highlight of the meal. The chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, with a delicious marinade that had penetrated the meat well. It had a light smoky aroma from the grill and was cooked perfectly, making every bite flavorful and satisfying. Overall, Kabob Place serves quality grilled food, but improving the dining atmosphere and paying more attention to the customer experience would make the visit much more enjoyable.
