Good flavour to the fish in a light batter which is not to greasy, good portion sizes on the fish and chips. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20

Ordered over two fish suppers, mushy peas and curry sauce over the phone tonight. Told it would be around ten minutes. Arrived. Modest queue of three customers ahead of me. Theo acknowledged me, directed the girls to place up my meal. Packaged according to request : S&V on one, plain the other, Peas and C.Sauce to accompany. Exchanged pleasantries. Off home. Upshot: tucked in to yet another famously delicious Kielder Fish Bar meal. Top class service with top class food. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I tried this fish bar for the first time. I got the small fish and chip special with mushy peas. Generous portion of chips. All well cooked and great value for money at £3.50. Friendly service and felt safe in the bar as only 6 people allowed in at one time. Floor marked out too as a reminder of social distancing.
