My husband and I went with our newborn daughter and our two year old son. We wanted a change and decided to try it out since we were celebrating our growing family & my recovery was improving enough to go for a treat When we arrived the portion sizes seemed smaller than Queens near KFC on the other side of town . I brushed it off and thought I’d try some authentic Chinese food. Service was semi-decent with the younger lady who worked there. Plates are cleaned up once you finish & water us refilled frequently. I chatted a bit about mom stuff, which was nice as she is a mom as well. A few things I noticed: - *No change table* in the restroom, which I expected at a buffet . I ended up having to change my 2 week old girl on the booth. I would have preferred more privacy and respect for the other two ladies dining next to us, but they were understanding. - *Our toddler* had his moments, but that’s understandable — he’s adjusting to his new sister and all the fun that comes with being a toddler After we paid and left, things went downhill. Later that day I started feeling off. I kept hydrating because of the heat, but I got a headache and then nausea hit a few hours after leaving . Overnight I became violently sick and was throwing up. I couldn’t even make it to the toilet and ended up over the sink. *The dishes in the sink were clean* , and the worst part was seeing undigested broccoli in there — a clear sign it was from lunch *My newborn daughter also seemed to feel warm to me, but I wasn’t sure if it was because I was feeling sickly or if it was just from the heat* . As a new mom EBF and only 2 weeks pp, that scared me even more. I called Kim Long Restaurant the next day to make a complaint and give them a heads up . Unfortunately the lady on the phone dismissed me repeatedly, saying no one else had reported this . I even asked for a refund and she hung up. I’m breastfeeding and recovering from a VBAC, so it was extra stressful trying to keep fluids down and not have to give up and switch to formula on top of cluster feeding. *Even now, a few days later, I’m still feeling the effects with nausea and headaches* . I also have an aversion to similar foods and told my husband I feel nervous to eat Chinese food for a while. *Suggestions for the restaurant:* 1. *Add a change table* in the restroom for families with babies 2. *Review food safety* and handling to prevent illness 3. *Customer service training* to listen to complaints instead of dismissing them as I seen 1-2 stars in recent months. *Note:* For those aware of the use of ChatGPT, I used it to help get my point across clearly as my brain power is still low in pp recovery. I’m sharing this so other families can make an informed choice ️️. No mother recovering pp, newborn, senior, or anyone vulnerable should have to go through this I’m still in pp recovery and dealing with the effects . Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot Parking: Mountain Road North End area. Kid-friendliness: Needs TLC

It is clear to me that the restaraunt owners do not care for customer needs or satisfication. When making complaints they believe that customers have not said anything about the place being bad Yeah they may want to check again my wife was food poisoned and I myself am not feeling well either. We went a few days ago and the food had been left out for hours whilst topping it up or reheating from days ago. Unacceptable this place should have its liscense revoked and a health inspector in play. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
