Incredible tasty food, really fast pick-up, super convenient for students. This is hands down my favourite lunch place to grab before class Leo from the back kitchen is incredibly generous and kind. I come all the time, total regular! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I've been to the Kokoro in Leeds many times, they're excellent, open on time, food is good but this Arndale manchester one ive been to about 6x since it opened 2 to 3 weeks ago, they are an absolute mess, i got Chicken Teriyaki with rice each time and they have no clue what theyre doing. They open late firstly and have no time management, as im waiting for half an hour after thry told me theyllbe open in 30 mins, 30 mins ago, then the chicken is not fresh, its old, and hard, chewy and stringy and the Leeds one was never like this, then they dont even know how to put the rice in the pot at an angle with the toppings also at an angle so you can eat both at the same time like they do in Leeds, she just puts the rice at the bottom and toppings straight on top on top, and way less rice also, its impossible to get to the rice when its covered by the toppings and if you try itll just spill all over, this is the last time ill come to kokoro manchester and ill go leeds if i want it that bad, and this time she put no teriyaki sauce liquid on the rice like she should as they do inleeds, so im eating dry rice chicken teriyaki, i give up, ill go leeds they should close this one down Edit: i went back twice and they have definitely improved, had chicken teriyaki on both occassions and the chicken is delicious no longer with a charred layer and overcooked but juicy and fresh, the portions, the rice, the teriyaki sauce all is excellent hence changing my review from 1 star to 4. Price per person: £1–10
