we came in for breakfast and were served by charlotte who was the sweetest and kindest server. she was incredibly polite and helpful and made us feel right at home! the brunch burger was just the right amount of food. the strawberry milkshake was a little blander than hoped for but still incredibly delicious. Mothers Day Brunch gone serious wrong.... I want to share both the positive and very serious aspects of my visit to Kooks. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. They were also lovely with my dog, which I really appreciated, and they did acknowledge their mistake and provided a replacement gluten-free dish. However, I need to highlight a serious issue. I clearly communicated that I required a gluten-free meal as I have severe Coeliac, and I was initially reassured that the dish provided was safe. Shortly after I had started eating, I was informed that there had been a mix-up in the kitchen and the dish was not gluten-free. This had significant consequences for my health, leaving me unwell for an extended period and unable to work for over a month. I would strongly encourage the restaurant to implement stricter systems in the kitchen such as clear flagging or verification processes for dietary requirements—to prevent this from ever happening again. For those with medical dietary needs, this is not a preference but a necessity!!! I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future customers can dine safely. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
