I could have lived with the long wait if the food had been up to its usual (/previous) high standard. I ordered the butterfly chicken - usually a feast of moist, well seasoned and ultra-tasty chicken breast, delicious rice and oodles of fresh salad. What I got was some dry, relatively tasteless chicken on a bed of boiled rice. That’s it - for £9.95.
With the food being so bland, it seems churlish to complain about the portion being half the size as usual - because I didn’t want any more.
Anyone can have ‘an off day’. However, my take is that something has fundamentally changed at Koop (ownership, management, staffing, whatever) and this experience was so bad, only an idiot would return and part with their hard earned cash again.
Terrible.
