Really cool concept, small plates meaning you get a chance to eat so many things. Definitely order the bone marrow, amazing! Great music too - hip hop vibes. Will be back for sure. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50

Having had my 70 th birthday at Opheem in Birmingham I was looking so forward to come to this new venture by Akhtar Aslam in Bristol. Have a high regard and respect for Akhtar Aslam. The atmosphere was perfect, the decor so warm and well done in an exclusive area in clifton Bristol. The welcome very good and the food amazing. The chicken liver and slow cooked lamb the best ever I have had. Then it all went down hill. We were to attend a concert nearby. The tables were not cleared despite 2 reminders for a lot longer time. The deserts never came. The restaurant was not as busy on an early evening setting. We were forced to leave without deserts and no tips for staff left. Would still come back as food excellent. The staff did not communicate with us on delays. Sad but am sure it will be sorted in time. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: £100+

Really enjoyed our first visit to the recently opened Kush. Given Islam Akthar’s involvement I had high hopes for a good meal and we were not disappointed. The photographs tell the story, everything well cooked, excellent balance of flavours and for me the stand out dish of the evening were the Afghan lamb chops; absolutely delicious, tender and a hint of pink.
