Today we got food at the L'Osteria and were sadly pretty disappointed. I made a reservation for three people and we had no wait time for our table, which was nice. The ambience outside was perfect with a scenic view. We ordered our drinks and bruschetta, which arrived quite quickly. The wine tasted good, the hugo however tasted like sparkling water with just a tiny hint of elderflower, for 9€ I definitely expected a bit more. The bruschetta pleasantly surprised us with how much we got and it was very tasty. Our main dishes arrived shortly after and with that we had very mixed experiences. My pizza calzone was amazing, the dough was very tasty, it was generously filled and really fresh. The pasta con pollo on the other hand had barely any chicken in it, there were only three small pieces. And lastly the lasagna my mother ordered was hot only on the outside, but still extremely cold on the inside. She told the waiter and he took her plate, after a bit over 10 minutes, she got it back. The lasagna was now hot, but the cheese was a bit burnt and the edges were stuck on the dish. There was no apology at all. After we where done eating and finished our drinks, we waited. And waited. The restaurant was quite empty at that point and we saw three waiters chatting. We looked over several times but apparently couldn't get their attention. After waving for some time, the waiter finally came and we asked for our leftovers to be packed up, ordered a Tiramisu to go and asked for the check as well. Since it was getting colder and more windy we really wanted to leave. However it took well over twenty minutes for the waiter to come back, despite not having a lot to do except talking to his coworkers. We got the check, but not the Tiramisu, as he forgot to bring it to us, but thankfully it didn't take long to get. We left feeling quite dissatisfied, because the service was basically non-existent. The whole time we were there, no server came up to us to ask if everything's fine or if we want another drink and the interactions we had with our waiter didn't feel very welcoming. The food was alright, but we probably won't come back.
