Visited the Lakeside Inn after hearing good things about it for a family celebration. Location is good, nicely decorated inside with a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were okay, drinks were priced as you would expect and there was a happy hour on cocktails. However when it came to ordering food, I was informed that there are no gluten-free options at all. This meant that whilst all of our party was able to order a meal, I could not order anything. Very disappointed that a place like the lakeside cannot accommodate a diet requirement. First time this has ever happened in over 15yrs gluten free. I chose to leave our family event to go to another place where I could eat, which seemed like I had the best option as our guests waited well over an hour for their food. (We were informed there was a delay of 45 mins in the kitchen however it was closer to double that time) Not such a problem if the food was worth waiting for, but I am told it was below average at best. We also heard Other customers complaining that they had been there over an hour and not yet had any food. The staff complained that our party had not booked a table, this had been attempted prior to arrival with no response. Surely a restaurant as big as the lakeside when they are not even full can accommodate orders. Who would have thought taking business to an industry which is struggling would be such a problem. Disappointing and well below expectations, perhaps it was a bad night but as I won’t be returning, not somewhere we would give a second chance. If you’re gluten-free definitely avoid. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: £30–40 Dietary restrictions: Definitely do not go if you are gluten free - they have no food at all that is gluten free. Parking space: Plenty of parking

worst food ever had tossed it all in bin meat was tuff veg was over cooked pots was a spoon of slop phoned up for a delivery got told it would be 29pound 50 wen it came had to pay 40nine 50p would never order from here again had to give it one star are could not post a review
