We went to Lardo for a birthday dinner Saturday just gone, the service was amazing our waitress (who’s name I unfortunately can’t remember) was amazing, she was very attentive to our table and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was amazing, there were 12 people eating and everyone highly enjoyed their food! The drinks were also amazing! They very kindly gave us a free dessert with a candle for my birthday. Eveything was amazing and we had a lovely time! Thank you so much to the team and to our waitress, she was brilliant and kept up the great vibes the entire time! I know, I know. Hackney has so much to offer. Anyone visiting what is one of the most chilled, engaging, fun, parts of London is thoroughly spoilt for choice. Why Lardo, the? Why indeed. Excellent Italian with inventive and delicious food. The scorched mackarel was like sashimi on speed, the sauce was delicious. We also had the wonderful foccacia and superb olives. The tomato salad and the green bean and peach salad were also very good. We were served by an American lady from LA was just a great host - thank you! Wine list was good not great, Cocktails and spritz were excellent.
