The girls here are so lovely, the coffees are great AND they make their own syrups in house! The limited edition syrups are always my favourites! Special mention about the straws: I think they're agave and they last all day, so none of the disintegrated nonsense before I finish my drink :). A hidden gem next to a corporate giant – Support Liba! I recently visited Liba Cafe on Cowcross Street and had a fantastic experience. In an area that is becoming increasingly saturated with chains particularly the soulless Gail's bakery right next door, which is sadly squeezing out small independents —Liba stands out as a beacon of what a local cafe should be. I ordered the Feta and Spinach Toastie, and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly toasted, generous filling, and full of flavour. It’s clear they care about the quality of the food they serve. What really made my visit special, however, was meeting the owner, Emily. She quit her full-time job to pursue her dream of opening her own business, and her attitude and determination are genuinely inspiring. It takes a lot of courage to go up against the big guys, and she is doing it with grace and great coffee. Places like this are the heart of the community, and we need to protect them. If I had one tiny piece of constructive feedback, it would be that I’d love to see a green smoothie or two on the menu for us health-conscious professionals working nearby. That would be the perfect addition to an already great offering. Overall, Liba is a brilliant little cafe. Please skip the bland, corporate chain next door and give your money to Emily instead.
