I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessionalism and disorganization my daughter and I experienced at Linx Kitchen + Social while trying to plan her Sweet 16. Nearly two weeks ago, we went in person to confirm their dining space for her birthday dinner. We spoke directly with the owner, Candice, who assured us that December 13th was completely available, that the booking was ours, and that she would send us the menu that coming Saturday. Saturday came and went...no menu. On Sunday, I followed up and received an email saying the chef had the flu, which I understood. But by Wednesday, there were still no updates, no communication, and still no menu. Then on Thursday, I suddenly received an email saying they had “double booked” the date, the exact date we had already confirmed in person. And just to be clear: the email didn’t offer a real explanation. It simply stated that there was an “issue on their side,” and that the space we were promised was no longer available. No apology that actually addressed the situation, no attempt to make things right, nothing. So after almost two full weeks of being told this booking was secured for my daughter’s milestone birthday, we were abruptly told it was gone because of their own internal mistake. This left us scrambling to find a new venue at the last minute for an event we booked responsibly and early. It is completely unacceptable for a business to confirm a reservation, fail to follow through with the communication they promised, and then pull the rug out days before the event due to their own error. This level of disorganization is shocking, especially from an establishment that advertises itself as an event-friendly space. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend relying on Linx Kitchen + Social for any important booking, especially not something as meaningful as a Sweet 16. Businesses need to do better than this.

We appreciate you leaving a review, and we do apologize for the inconvenience this has clearly caused. Your meeting with Candice took place on Friday Nov 21 at Linx, which is a week ago today, not 2 weeks ago. And yes you did receive a verbal statement saying the date was available as well as mention that a holiday party was also going to be happening the evening of. After multiple discussion about a few menu ideas and which space to use, the discussion of our NEW menu was going to be coming out over the weekend (Nov 22/23). Yes our chef was sick with the flu which delayed the release of our menu. When the menu did become available, we noticed there were two bookings already scheduled for that evening. A technical issue on our side, which resulted in a email stating that we wouldn’t be able to accommodate your party. You then decided to call our establishment to discuss your frustrations with a server who had nothing to do with this situation. Candice’s contact email and phone number was given to you in the emails when discussing the event should you have wanted to contact the owner directly, instead of yelling at our staff. Yelling at our staff member was not necessary to do even if you are angry and disappointed with our level of service. We do understand your frustration and we are sorry you felt the need to leave a review that also has some wrong information as well. Nothing was solidly booked as you wanted to review the menu prior anyways, a deposit was not put in place, and food was not ordered as well as your planned event is not for another 2 weeks. Stating that you were left scrambling for a venue with days prior to the event is wrong as your date was not until December 13 and the meeting was just a week to begin with. Again, we do apologize you are not happy with our level of customer service and that your 1 star review was needed. We do hope you find a venue to accommodate your daughter’s 16th birthday. *please note, all email correspondence can be available with dates to confirm we gave as much notice as possible to let you know the date was not available.

Amazing... Just amazing! My wife and I went to Linx Kitchen & Social for a well needed date night. This is a one stop location for entertainment. We started off with some golf and some drinks and apps in one of Linx's incredible simulators. You have to try the signature drink "the Royal Canadian"! We then enjoyed a fine dining expierience in their dining room. The Braised Short Rib is to die for! We finished off the night with a cocktail at the bar talking to the owners Jay and Candace, while enjoying some live music. It was a perfect night. We just found our new date night spot! You need to check this place out, you won't be disappointed!
