Owners were lovely, very helpful and food was excellent. Water pressure was non existing in our room and I could not shower in the morning. The night before was a slow trickle. Having a winter doona or duvet in summer was way toooo hot. The room was hot but they did supply a fan. All in all, lovely but I would not stay there again.

Room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff was very welcoming and food was served with care. And it was delicious. I truly wish I was able to stay longer.

The Lion Inn is a wonderful example of an authentic English pub, full of character and charm. While the pub itself has a traditional feel, the restaurant is stylish and elegant, offering a more refined dining experience. The garden is also a lovely place to enjoy a meal or a drink when the weather is nice. Unfortunately, we weren't able to stay overnight because the inn was fully booked—a real shame, as it looked like a wonderful place to spend a night. Based on our dining experience, we would certainly try to book a room on a future visit. We enjoyed our first dinner here so much that we returned the following evening. The food was consistently excellent, with a menu that offers a more modern take on British cuisine while maintaining great quality and value. What really made our visits memorable was the outstanding service. The entire team was welcoming and attentive, and a special mention goes to the gentleman who spoke excellent French. His friendliness, professionalism, and ability to chat with us in French added a very personal touch to two fantastic evenings. A place we would happily recommend—and one we would gladly return to, hopefully as overnight guests next time.
