Wasn’t sure the first time this changed hands but gave it another go tonight and have to say they’ve really upped their game! Just had a family selection including chicken chow mein, sweet & sour chicken balls, special fried rice and smacked chicken strips - all really tasty, well cooked and quality meat. Not too greasy, tender chicken - one of the best Chinese meals we’ve had in a while. Faith has been restored and will be going again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: £40–50

Whilst away on a trip to the Forest of Dean my partner and I knew we’d want a Chinese and we definitely picked the right one to go to! The Lady on the front desk was so lovely/friendly and let us change a dish slightly to our own preference (Kung po prawns battered!!!). All the dishes we got were delicious and value for money is very good, they even gave us some free spring rolls! Food: 5 Order type: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20

Have had takeaways from The Lotus for a long while now and have always thought it's good quality and tasty; great for the price in my opinion. Usually don't have to wait long before the order's ready, even when it's busy, and everything is still hot when it gets home. Can't complain about anything really!
