Ma Bakers is a cafe. It serves a really good all day breakfast and some of their sandwiches are delicious. The quality of their food (sausages, bacon, cheese etc) is above average and not cheap stuff but, in comparison to other locations, it is expensive. We go to 3 or 4 other cafes in the area and Ma Bakers is significantly more expensive (The Plum Tree all you can eat breakfast carvery is cheaper and you get drinks with that). The cakes are excessively overpriced especially the tray bakes £5+ for an average brownie! The staff are mega friendly and if you accept the decor as "it's a cafe" you won't be disappointed. Unfortunately the prices aren't. We have been many times but 3 breakfasts and 3 drinks was just under £50, so be prepared to pay elevated prices. Would recommend though, food can be hit and miss but in the whole, worth a visit every couple of months. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Price per person: £10–20

Thanks for the review and for coming in to see us! Really glad you rate the breakfasts and sandwiches - we have always used quality ingredients rather than cutting corners, which does mean we're a bit higher in price than some cafes nearby, but we think it's worth it.We also own our own butchers shop that supplies the cafe with homemade sausages and other meat items.Your personal chef cooking your food just how you like it! Not a buffet.You get what you pay for. On the cakes - our tray bakes and brownies are all handmade, and £5+ would only apply to something like a loaded 3-layer brownie with premium ingredients, not our standard bakes. Don't be bad at customer service and then accuse us of being rude. We were not. We simply and politely suggested it would be nice if you served customers that came to the till in order. At least some acknowledgement of being there would have been enough to manage expectations. Overpriced for what it is anyway. Won't bother going back. What has happened to customer service these days? Also they did not have what they were advertising which is a bit a disappointing but I understand can't always be helped. The response offered does not reflect what happened. There was no storming out. We left because you didn't have what we wanted. We would have done this without the poor customer service issue. We were not abusive. That's simply a lie. I also commented that I understand things run out on the day. You don't even make grammatical sense when you read your response back. Well done. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Good Afternoon BA NJ In reply to your one star review.I believe you were next to be served after the Gentleman who had already pre -ordered his Lemon Meringue Pie and had just come to the Counter to say he was ready for his dessert .I am not sure to where the £ comment avaliled from as after being extremely rude and abusive to one of our team ( Zero Tolerence Policy on Abuse in the Workplace ) that you stormed out of the Buliding - still being abusive towards Members of Staff It was a Specials Board which sells out rather fast due to the Quality of Food we serve .Regards

Visited with my partner on 1/12/21
Excellent friendly service and the Tomato Soup was beautiful and wholesome with proper Chunky bread for dipping in .
Very modern surroundings and comfortable .
The menu board had a great variety of Specials and I did spot the Festive toasty being served to a nearby table .We shall be returning for one as it looked fabulous .
