Overall the food doesn’t even make the mediocre cut in taste. Portions are TINY for the price. A few dishes were overly sweet, the soy sauce was diluted and too sweet to rebalance things yourself, and the HK hot milk tea with condensed milk was way too sweet even for milk tea standards. Overall the food doesn't even make the mediocre cut in taste. Service is basically nonexistent. If you’re new here, you’re SOL figuring it out. You have to serve your own order and food, get your water, utensils, napkins, etc. Our food took ∼40 min to arrive even though the restaurant was essentially empty, and no one checked on us after that. Even for dine-in, everything is served on plastic plates and bowls. If you’re trying to avoid microplastics, skip this place. The water had a soapy taste, like the glasses weren’t rinsed properly. This is a terrible place to eat. The portions are small, poorly served, and the food is bland. It is self-service, so you have to pick up your own order on a disposable plastic plate. They also have a water station with a pitcher and plastic cups, but the cups do not even seem properly cleaned. It is overpriced for what it is, and the food has no flavor. Do not waste your time or money here. I have been to much nicer places that serve huge, delicious bowls of noodles for a much lower price, even in more expensive cities. For example, the Lanzhou noodle places in Montreal and Mogouyan Hand Pulled Noodle at West Edmonton Mall serve giant, flavorful dishes that are far better and much more worth the money. Finally got to try Mama Rice Roll! I've been wanting to try them since they opened and finally had time to. It's a nicely appointed restaurant, right by Mama Dessert. You can pay outside the shop by card on the tablet or inside with cash. I got the rice roll with Char Siu at the recommendation of the staff and it was great! The chili oil is amazing on the rolls and I recommend it. I'll definitely be back! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
