FAMILY RUN restaurant / this is laughable . booked our table for 6 pm saturday 10 jan ! quoted on booking birthday meal ! arrived at 5:50 , was empty apart from one table of about 5 people so quiet ! no smiles of friendly greeting , this was our first time & no table booked . we waited 20 minutes for our drink order to be taken so we thought we better order our starter and our mains at the same time because it looked like service was gonna be slow.seems like ages after the drinks arrived i had 2 cocktails for £10 - happy hour expect there was no happy here ! no atmosphere because the music from next-door was so loud it was bumping . husband had beer which he thought was going to be a pint as show a picture of a. point on the drinks menu - it wasn’t it as a bottle which we paid £6:95 /highty over prices . satay chicken starter arrived, which was Luke warm and came with no side plates like other thai restaurants do or mango ! by 7.10 we were fed up waiting another couple next to us had also walked out waiting too long , The poor excuse we were given for waiting so long for our meal is that we like to give people two hours before a fair to show what is that got to do with us? Weren’t even going to the fair and if we had been going to the theatre we would’ve missed our show because Theatre show started at 7:30. We didn’t walk out till 7:15 and still no food i put on my booking BIRTHDAY MEAL ! not theatre show ! i informed the waitrrsss who was also front of house im. it paying a service charge as it states they do charge you with no choice on the menu of 10% we noticed people who arrived after us were eating their meal ! what a shit show ruined birthday meal. MAMA certainly wasn’t in the kitchen tonight if this is a family business, you need a bigger family to run it. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Mama’s kitchen has a vibrant atmosphere, an incredibly beautiful aesthetic and to match that the service and food is incredible! The Thai food is very authentic the portion sizes are very generous and the drinks are great ! To top it off the whole menu is very well priced for what you get 10/10 would recommend ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I am so lucky to be able to get this authentic Thai food available from the Mama's Kitchen food truck that is at Southampton Science park in Thursdays. The food is delicious, healthy and great value for money, since I have discovered Mamas kitchen I now look forward to coming into the office on Thursdays. Looking forward to a meal in the Restaurant soon!
