Went out for one of the first times on the weekend since lockdown. And I’ve got to say, WORST PUB EVER FOR SOCIAL DISTANCING! I was stood talking to a relative outside, trying to keep a distance and some older guy (bar staff said he is the owner!!) actually physically tried pulling me into the bar. He was trying to ram everybody in all at the same time. I went downstairs, and was shocked to find that “table service” was well and truly out the window. Had to stand at the bar, not even elbow widths apart as the tables were all full. The music definitely wasn’t background music, so people in the atmosphere it was creating with low lights and loud music were trying to dance, and you could see the staff were struggling to abide by the social distancing laws because the setting was just not appropriate. If that man is the own, shame on him, because it’s clear he was just trying to fill the pub for money, and not giving 2 f*cks about people’s safety. DID NOT FEEL SAFE IN THERE. Left immediately. I would boycot until coronavirus has gone because Mambos owner clearly doesn’t care about the laws. P.s why was it still open past the other pubs?! I thought it’s classed as a nightclub after midnight, which aren’t allowed to be a open yet?! All very odd! Avoid!
