Should really be three stars but I’ve just been so disappointed with the last couple of visits for fish suppers that i’ve felt compelled to write a review so they can get a new fish supplier!!! To give some background we’ve (me and my family) been getting our fish suppers from Manta Ray for the past 15 or so years! Always a great atmosphere with happy staff working tirelessly to get orders out ask quickly as possible, with some good offers on set days of the week! I would given them a solid 4 stars prior to my last 2-3 visits. However as we all know since covid/ Ukraine war and now Iran the prices of things has gone astronomical. So given the price of a fish supper for the family you would expect in the very least to get a decent bit of Cod or even Haddock. However I kid you not that the last 6 pieces of Cod we’ve order have literally had literally half a flat fillet in them! If I could’ve been bothered I would’ve driven back and shown them that there was about half a fillet in each one, not full of flakey cod but anaemic flat and dry. 1st time was disappointing, second time was annoying, but this third time was incredulous. Sorry Manta Ray but we shall not be returning. Sad to leave but just cannot afford to not feed my family because half empty battered cod’s. To put this in context, I visited my family in south Leicestershire and had a fish supper that was cheaper and the battered cod fillets where thick, moist, flakey and had probably double the amount of cod and south Leicester is nowhere near the sea!!! Change your supplier, rant over! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Been twice on a Saturday, dont open as they advertise, please themselves. As a customer this is basics. If this continues dont care their food is good, wont be back. SORT YOUR OPENING TIMES, MANTA RAY and stop pissing off customers Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
