We were super hungry after we went to the Outdoor Adventure Show in Mississauga. We were looking for an Asian restaurant to buy take-out before we eat with our friends in the nearby area at their house. Google suggested 匠之厨 Master Cooking House, from the glance of the menu, the Chinese food options seem decent and authentic so we decided to give it a try. To our surprise, moment we walked in, this place felt so inviting and cozy, it has a "home sweet home" feel to it. There were some cool decorations at the entrance. Then the yellow colour wall was bright and modern. The place is not big but does its job. We did noticed some of the sitting area were benches with no lumbar support. Although it's definitely nostalgic but it would not be comfortable for many to sit for long as you have nothing to lean on. We ordered braised beef soup noodle and Japanese style chicken fried rice to go. Overall, both tastes authentic and decent, nice pipping hot. However, we did find there were only a few braised beef pieces in the soup noodles after we opened our take out package that we wish they provide us with more pieces and slightly more portion especially it's at $15.99 CDN + tax. Luv the noodles thickness, it tastes very fresh. Other than that, this is a decent option for the nearby neighbourhood, which is a welcome addition in the Etobicoke area since there ain't many Chinese options like this at the moment.
