The dishes. were quite disappointingly basics and pasta was way too al dente - would say it was quite hard for tortellini. We also had a panna cotta which was more like a milk jello with not even a hint of vanilla this was quite disappointing. The service was very random and the waitress was not very nice nor professional, the restaurant was quite empty so we were surprised how slow the service was. Price per person: £50–60 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

We recently hosted a Gluten Free Dinner Club event at Mattarello Bolognese for 20 guests, and it was an absolutely fantastic evening from start to finish! The atmosphere was spot on, they even a DJ throughout the night that added to the vibe without being intrusive. It was still easy to chat and enjoy conversations around the table! We enjoyed the set menu, starting with the delicious gluten free crescentine puff bread served alongside a selection of burratas. For mains, guests chose between the lasagne, tortelloni and a dairy-free tagliatelle option, all made with Mattarello's incredible gluten free fresh pasta. Every dish received glowing feedback from our guests. Dessert certainly didn't disappoint either. The gluten-free tiramisu was a particular highlight and something that's surprisingly difficult to find done well! A special mention must go to Sandra, the owner, who was incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout the planning process and on the night itself. The service from the whole team was warm, attentive and genuinely made everyone feel looked after. A huge thank you to the Mattarello team for such a good evening filled with delicious gluten free Italian food and great vibes all around. We can't wait to return!
