Visited here at Easter as was recommended by friends who now live at acrefair and eat here regularly. We loved it so much we came back the next day for lunch. Excellent food great atmosphere and friendly staff .Will definitely return when next there. Can highly recommended the ham egg and chips and also the tasty ham.and cheese toasties. Free refills on hot drinks too a nice touch . All this and being dog friendly too made for a relaxing lunch. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

To be honest, we've not been here before simply because we don't like the name. We've been missing out. Very dog and child friendly which makes for a lovely, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I had the chicken basket. The chicken was absolutely lovely, made better by a really good Mexican hot sauce on the table. My wife had curried cauliflower soup with lovely bread. Both were plenty for us. I saw the table next to us had loaded fries with the chicken bits on top and a full English breakfast. They looked fantastic too. That's another two trips we'll have to make! I've read some reviews that the service is slow. It is. We waited 35 minutes for our food. That being said, if you expect slow service it becomes normal service and it's definitely worth the wait. Poor service.
I am compelled to write this review to express my disappointment and frustration caused by an incident at this restaurant at lunch in August this year. I, together with a group of friends, had lunch in the m'Eating Point. The waitress, who I understand is relatively new, was fantastic making sure that the various allergies in the part were noted and communicated to the kitchen. We paid for our meal at the bar, however when the young members of the party departed they were accosted in a highly unwarranted, high handed and accusative manner demanding payment. The manager was advised that payment had been made by myself before I left the restaurant. Apparently the bill tendered to me was incorrect and for another table. This was confirmed separately in a call when the manager admitted that Table 22 asked for their bill which we had paid incorrectly. We paid the our correct bill and asked you to refund the £42.00 to my card for the incorrect payment for Table 22. We are still waiting for this refund. This was their mistake, however, at no stage has an apology tendered. This together with their unwarranted acquisitive manner was totally unacceptable. We will not be using this restaurant again.
