Superb. I live outside the UK and this is always my first stop when I’m in London. The calves liver is the best I’ve ever tasted (appreciate it’s not for everyone but if you like it you will love this). Staff are attentive, the menu is varied so something for everyone. It deserves its reputation at the top. Can’t fault it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £100+

The small frontage of this restaurant belies an interior that goes back a long way. It's prettily decorated and tables are properly laid as you go in, giving a modern yet nostalgic nod to a traditional bistro. There are also a few tables under cover outside which was perfect on a hot day. But you're probably wondering what the food is like? The chefs at Medlar have created excellent multi layer flavours that blend perfectly, including the vegetables which are seasoned and herbed so they are every much the stars of the plate as the main show. There's a good range of wines, cocktails and nonalcoholic drinks to suit all tastes and budgets. Their mocktails are particularly inventive. The service is easy and gracious, mixing friendliness and professionalism without being overbearing. Did I enjoy it? You bet! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £70–80 Recommendation for vegetarians: Somewhat recommend Vegetarian options: There are roughly 10 items on each of the starters and mains on the fixed price menu only 1 each of which are veggie. They both sounded lovely but limited if you don't fancy that one. Plenty of options for pescatarians though Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options: Paid street parking
