Great service, but the worst chips ever. Doesn't matter if they're warm ups or cooked fresh, they're always hard enough to cut the roof of your mouth, no matter how much you try soaking them in sauce. Used to be a top class chippy, but seems to have lost its heart, the food on the whole, has gone awful! Price per person: £10–20

We visited here searching for a new chippy on a Saturday night. We ordered sweet & sour chicken, I can’t lie it was very watery and tasteless. There was a good amount of chicken but sloppy, and just about cooked. The sauce itself was very tasteless with no substance or flavour. My partner got the chilli chicken it was similar consistency with same chicken, good amount again but watery. His had more flavour as there was a lot of fresh garlic and chilli but the chicken was still soggy and just about cooked and stringy texture. The chips were awful. The type no amount of salt and vinegar can fix. The staff were nice the man cooking the chips was very happy he was great. Kids willing to work too was nice to see them get opportunities. But the food flavours just weren’t there unfortunately Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Friendly service, reasonable delivery time and tasty hot food. The vast majority of Chinese Take Aways in this area are pretty rubbish. Melling fish bar was genuinely nice. Will definitely order from here again. Food: 4 Service: 5 Order type: Takeaway Price per person: £30–40
