Very good value for price - a rare find in London. The owner is very good - will not try to upsell you like most others on Brick Lane, but genuinely try ensure you have a good experience and enjoy what you order. The restaurant is also listed in Rick Steves, and if you ask the owner will show you a picture he got with him. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I really liked most of what I ordered, especially the chicken curry! I wasn’t a fan of the beef dishes, though. Beware that they automatically include a 12.5% service charge and request a tip, too. I feel like that’s a pretty uncomfortable situation to put customers in. I didn’t know that you can request them to take the extra charge off, so just be aware. At Meraz you’ll find some truly delicious food without all the hustle and chaos of Brick Lane! Full of regulars on a Saturday night, that’s all the recommendation you need.
