I used to get the lamb shawarma wrap regularly but they’ve changed it to lamb doner meat. I thought I would go in for a treat but the whole thing just tasted like a cheap oily kebab. I’ve noticed the staff are different so perhaps change of management? The meat had no flavour and I asked for garlic sauce of which it seems they had forgotten to add it or just couldn’t be bothered. It was such a disappointing and underwhelming experience. Also a waste of money because it was so thick with oil that you’d end up having a heart attack consuming it in one sitting. I feel very sad to have to post this comment but restaurants need to listen to the customers if they want to stay in business. The competition and cost of living will make people go elsewhere. If they don’t want to improve then I guess we’ll see how long they last. I noticed the hospitality is not as it was either and judging by comments, it seems I’m not the only one that feels this way. Meshwi is a nice East London spot serving succulent, charcoal-grilled Middle Eastern meats and generous portions. Stumbled across Meshwi and enjoed their authentic Middle Eastern grill. The lamb and chicken kebabs are cooked perfectly over an open flame. They are incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with spices. Paired with fluffy rice and their delicious signature sauces, it’s easily a great spot to dine, hospitality team were really good proper sorted me out. Order type: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £1–10
