stopped for lunch and was very pleased. Extensive menu with something for every taste. Server was welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. Meals were presented beautifully and full of flavor. Price was reasonable. Great experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A Disappointing and Concerning Experience** I visited Milestones this past weekend for an 8:30 PM reservation, and unfortunately, the experience was far below the standard I’ve come to expect from the brand. Upon arrival, there was **no one at the host stand** to greet me. I waited for over three minutes with no acknowledgment. Eventually, I walked toward the dining room to see if anyone was working. I saw a hostess moving around and asked if someone could assist me. A gentleman in the back responded in a stern, dismissive manner, pointing me back to the front instead of simply helping. A hostess eventually appeared, though she seemed bothered by the fact that I had sought assistance. She seated us and provided water, and we met our server shortly after. The server was pleasant, and we ordered an appetizer. At 8:40, we let her know we needed two minutes before placing our main order. By **9:15**, no one had returned. No check-in, no water refills, no acknowledgment — nothing. When I asked Sunny, the hostess, for water, she walked past me without responding, despite clearly hearing me. At that point, we requested the bill for the appetizer and left, skipping dinner entirely. We went to Joey’s afterward, where we were greeted warmly, offered complimentary drinks, and enjoyed a great meal and dessert on the house — a stark contrast to what we had just experienced. I hesitate to assume intent, but it was difficult to ignore the fact that both the host and server were attentive to white customers who arrived after us, while we were repeatedly overlooked. As a person of colour, the difference in treatment was noticeable and deeply disappointing. I’ve always loved Milestones as a company, but this particular location will not receive my business again. No guest should feel dismissed, ignored, or lesser and certainly not along racial lines. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$20–30
