Been here a few times, usually alright but the attitude of those behind the bar is a bit questionable each time we have been in. I came in with a very small Starbucks frapp (pregnancy craving) while my fiance ordered a pint and a drink for myself. (So we were also purchasing drinks) I also wasn’t drinking the frapp, just holding it. We were planning to pop outside anyway as I was holding this. Red head busy body came over rudely and made note that this was not allowed and ‘if the owner had seen this they would have binned it’ then proceeded to tell the poor girl over the counter off for letting me in. So if I had a bottle of water with me from walking around, we wouldn’t be allowed in? Bit odd. Never been told not to hold a Starbucks drink in a pub before, especially while it’s not being drunk. Either way, policy or not, just be a bit nicer in your delivery. Kindness goes a long way :) Ta xx Price per person: £1–10 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

I used to enjoy coming to this pub and, in fact, I visited almost every week. Unfortunately, after today’s experience, I felt very disrespected by the way I was treated by the staff. I came in while the Liverpool match was on TV and the first half was nearly finished. As I was waiting for a friend, I decided to sit down, watch the game for a few minutes, and then order a pint. However, after sitting for only around three minutes, the manager shouted from behind the bar, in front of everyone, asking if I was going to buy a drink. The way this was handled made me feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed, especially as there were other people in the pub who also did not have drinks at the time. I found this very uncalled for and it completely changed my impression of the pub. Very disappointed. Happy to change my review to 5 star again if you apologies. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
