I walked past Mithaas Restaurant and decided to pop in to take a look at all the delicious-looking cakes, sweets, and savoury snacks on display. It's a vegetarian Indian restaurant that also offers a takeaway service. There were so many tempting options to choose from! I picked a selection of familiar favourites, including samosas, onion bhajis, and a few other tasty bites to take home. Both my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried. The food was fresh, flavourful, and excellent value for money – everything we bought came to under £13. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They happily explained some of the dishes I wasn't familiar with, and their warm smiles and great hospitality made the visit even more enjoyable. The restaurant is located on the busy Narborough Road. There are on-street parking spaces nearby, although most are limited to one hour. I'd definitely return to try more of their wide range of savoury snacks and sweet treats. In the restaurant Bhel and Dosa were amazing! Indo Chinese mushrooms and chilli paneer are above average although they can improve slightly to make more soy saucy and reduce attacking black pepper taste as a suggestion. I have rated 5 star as overall experience, ambience was amazing and gives you feel of a welcomed Gujarati restaurant. You have farsan and takeaway sections separate to the restaurant. Selection of beers is available in restaurant and food prices are reasonable. We bought Indian sweets and savouries from counter to takeaway and all was great! Haven’t tried much of Gujarati menu in restaurant, look forward next time.
