On August 2nd, I visited Mondo Restaurant and ordered a non-alcoholic mocktail. Despite clearly requesting a non-alcoholic option, I was served a drink containing alcohol — a serious and unacceptable mistake. This was not just a minor oversight. For someone who is sober, whether for health, personal, or recovery reasons, being unknowingly served alcohol is deeply distressing and harmful. It demonstrated a significant lack of care and attention from the staff involved. After raising a formal complaint, I received a response acknowledging the mistake and offering an apology and refund. While the response outlined some internal steps being taken, I found it inadequate given the seriousness of what happened. The incident has had a lasting impact on my trust in this establishment. If you have specific dietary, health, or sobriety-related requirements, I would advise caution when ordering here. I hope the business will treat such issues with the seriousness they deserve going forward. Price per person: £20–30

Hi Linzie,We’re sincerely sorry for the mistake that occurred during your visit and understand how serious and upsetting this situation was. Serving alcohol when a non-alcoholic drink has been requested is unacceptable, and it’s something we never take lightly.Following your initial complaint, our management team conducted a full review of the incident. We’ve since reinforced our internal training and ordering checks to ensure this cannot happen again. While we appreciate you acknowledging our earlier apology and refund, we also recognise that this experience has had a lasting impact on your trust in us, and we’re deeply sorry for that.Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It serves as an important reminder of the care and attention our guests deserve at all times.MondoCoatbridge Management
