Went to Moose for breakfast, there was a queue but only waited 20mins, the staff were helpful and polite. The menu is varied and it has something for everyone. I had the Amsterdam bagel, it sounded great but in all honesty, it was one note after the second bite, it lacked seasoning and the balsamic overpowered the dish. The hollandaise was rather bland unfortunately. You can’t argue that the portions aren’t good, there was a huge amount of food but it was style over substance. I did order a side of veggie sausages and they were very tasty and the best part of the dish. The tea was strong and the best I’ve had from a dinner in a long time. We ordered waters at the start but they never appeared even having asked twice. It was busy and the staff were polite but they seemed to struggle with the amount of custom at this busy time. Well this was our second attempt to come here as there was no space last time. It was definitely worth the wait. Attentive members of staff, no time wasting, food arrived quickly, no harassment. Just nice and chilled. Loads of Canadian style options on the menu, l am not quite there yet with pancakes, waffles, french toast and maple syrup but l found something l could handle. Maybe next time. Looking around at other people’s plates the food looked so good full joy for your eyes. I ordered scrambled eggs, granary toast (door stopper slices but still managed to finish it) with a side of streaky bacon and a side of grilled halloumi. Just lovely. May have to venture into the French toast, waffles and maybe pancakes to see what all the love for them is about. Not yet though preparing to go to a wedding Again our hosts were great, the first person who took around order was excellent he didn’t even write it down, then there was she Abbie was lovely she had a nice warm demeanour, helpful and very attentive. Absolutely delicious food and generous portions too. The coffee was excellent, definitely the best coffee we've had in Manchester. A special shout out to Amy and Jamie for the fantastic service - you balanced being attentive without being intrusive. And thankyou to Matti for the great food, we will be back for more before the end of our trip. Meal type: Brunch
