We have a cozy and quiet dinner at this place. Location looks romantic if you want to have a date night here. Service has been impeccable, we had a good treatment and everyone was attentive to any single detail, even replacing my glass of wine went bad . All the dishes sizes are perfect to share if you order lots of plates, overall food was delicious and hopefully to come back again when we have the chance. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £60–70

My guest and I had a lovely dinner at Mour. The restaurant décor is stylish and gives an air of elegant refinement without being stuffy or pompous. Set within a Georgian townhouse this restaurant also has a hidden courtyard area which is an unexpected gem. Designed in a simple and cute way the courtyard will make you feel like you are in the Mediterranean (although I do think the skylight needs replacing with something more stylish. I’ve seen some images online and it is not what is currently in place, so perhaps those images are either AI generated or there is some work currently being donehowever, this is a very minor point and more for my curiosity and does not detract from the ambience). The one thing they must rectify are the tables in the courtyard as the square tables wobble badly! I joked with the Manager that this would be the first time I have ever experienced sea sickness on dry land! I had already witnessed a couple moving to another table as their original one wobbled badly, and the Manager did a great job of bringing out some tools when another lady moved to meet her friend and, to his credit, he did improve the adjacent table for them by upending the table and doing his best to fix it. He did improve it, but it was still not greatI am not a precious character, so this experience did not upset me (and I can see the funny side of it) however I am sure some customers would not be overly impressed. My guest and I did have to be very careful when cutting our food to avoid our table spinning off like a tennis ball that was hit with excessive topspin!! LOL! There are two circular tables in the courtyard, however they are very small and it will get cramped very quickly once you add some dishes, a bottle of water, wine glasses, etc My message to Mour – You need to get a refund from your supplier and get new tables installed!! Anyway, crazy tables aside, the most important things are the food and service, and I am happy to report that both are excellent. We were warmly greeted by a lady on the door. She was very welcoming and friendly. She then guided us through the restaurant to the courtyard where we were greeted by all the team. This made us both feel very happy and special, as this clearly is an establishment that wants to pride itself on excellent service. All the servers were friendly, personable, professional, knowledgeable, polite, and had warm smiles. Foodwise, we opted for the House Flatbead as a small starter to share (delicious and filling. Definitely one for the cheese lovers). We then had Large Plates – Monkfish and Seared Seabass – both were well cooked and tasty. I would have preferred the sauce on the monkfish to come in a small jug as it slightly overpowered the fish, but this is a minor point of personal taste. The Dukkah Carrots and Charred Broccoli sides were plentiful and accompanied our dishes well, plus we had the Crispy Potato Pave, which were excellent and tasty (I would have preferred some extra ones, but that’s because I am greedy and they were so good!) We each had a glass of excellent Orange Wine and the Rose, and they were great selections from an excellent wine menu. Well priced too. No dessert as we were both nicely full..however the free Limoncello from the Manager to say “thank you and apologies” for the live table fixing show was a nice touch which was appreciated. Having looked at our neighbours’ dishes, it certainly left a positive impression, as the salads and the pasta dishes looked plentiful and appealing, so I think another visit will be in order to experience more from this menu. Overall, barring the wobbly table teething issues, I would recommend a visit to Mour.it is certainly moorish! UPDATE REVIEW - We returned for lunch and I am delighted to confirm the wobbly table issue has been rectified. BRAVO! The food and service continues to be excellent. Best new London restaurant. Highly recommend. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
