I love this place. Their selection of muffins is exceptional, and every one I have tried has been delicious. Even though I do not live in Reading, I make sure to visit Muffin Break at least once or twice whenever I am there. My favourite item is the Tikka Masala Chicken Yorkshire Wrap, and the flavours are excellent. The staff are also very friendly, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Sana, in particular, stands out as one of the best employees. She is always welcoming, engaging, and genuinely helpful. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Outstanding. Never had a nicer experience with staff in any café. All of the team were so pleasant to talk to and went above and beyond to make it an enjoyable experience for me on my own. I was recommended the sticky toffee muffin and it was so delicious. I went in for brunch so I also had the sausage and egg bagel which was so simple yet so tasty and satisfying for what I went in for. Forgive me because I can't remember exactly what my drink was, I believe it's an iced frappe (probably caramel) with a nice big dollop of whipped cream. On my way out, I asked if it was okay for some water and they very kindly filled my bottle for me. I was made to feel like nothing was too big of an ask and it really set me up with a positive mood for my travel day. Great job team! The vegetarian menu is quite limited, and the vegan options are even more so, there is only one offering: a vegan muffin . This lack of variety means that vegans and vegetarians may walk away disappointed, especially if they’re hoping for more diverse meal choices. For this reason, I rate the food options a solid 8/10. As for the coffee , it is undoubtedly a highlight. Muffin Break serves a blend of Brazilian and Colombian coffee, which boasts a rich, deep roast that is perfect for coffee enthusiasts. I’d give the coffee a respectable 8/10, though it could use a little more variety for those with specific coffee preferences. The seating area is another standout. The space is thoughtfully arranged, creating a welcoming atmosphere that appeals to both solo visitors and groups . It’s comfortable and stylish, perfect for enjoying a break during a busy day. However, what truly sets Muffin Break apart is their exceptional service . The staff went above and beyond by proactively pointing out that customers can scan the menu to check for allergens in any item . This extra step shows a clear commitment to customer safety and satisfaction. Because of this attentive service, I’m rating the experience 5 stars (even with the limited food options). Their thoughtfulness and care truly made the experience memorable. In summary, Muffin Break excels in service and provides a solid coffee experience. However, if you’re looking for more diverse options, particularly for vegan and vegetarian diets , you may find the choices lacking. If they expand their menu to accommodate these dietary needs, this could easily be a higher-rated establishment.
